Trickboxes on the Ponyline was released in 2003 on Sad Robot Records in the US and Konkurrent Records in Europe.
The recording happened in a row house in Rostock, Germany; the studio of some friends in Nuremburg; and a basement in Chicago. We had a computer, a few mic's, and a guitar. Danni borrowed some parts of a drumset from the upstairs neighbor, bought a harmonium and borrowed an amp. We recorded in the living room using a series of broomsticks, curtain rods and duct tape strung together above the instruments with mic's attached to them. The basic tracks were done that way. That was followed by two weeks in Nuremberg adding more tracks at Lone Star Studio. When we returned to Chicago, we headed into the basement to finish the songs.
